1

Does the project/permit have any pre-inspection document requirements?

Check your permit documents to see if there are any pre‐Inspection document requirements.

Example: Fire Code As-Built Certificate, Harris County Foundation Certificate or Elevation Certificate

Requirements will appear in the PRE-INSPECTION DOCUMENT(S) Section of your permit page.

*There may also be a SPECIAL REQUIREMENT(S) section on your permit that will provide additional instructions.

2

Gather Pre-Inspection Document(s)

If your project requires a pre-inspection document, please select from the list below and fill out.

State forms are to be completed by the specific contractor and given to the person in charge of the contract, i.e., general contractor, superintendent, owner. HCFMO will no longer review state forms submitted by the individual installing contractor.

Emergency Response Radio Coverage

*The only time an individual fire protection company would complete an as built certificate and state forms is when they are the only change/project being completed at that location.

example: Existing business adding a fire alarm system

*Granted if you are pending other civil permits or HCED documents, Harris County Engineering may not release your inspection.
