The HCFMO Outreach team is committed to promoting fire and life safety awareness throughout the community. By collaborating with fire safety educators across the country, we aim to provide life-saving public education during Fire Prevention Week. Our goal is to significantly reduce fire-related casualties by educating children, adults, and teachers on how to stay safe in case of a fire. This year’s Fire Prevention Week™ (FPW™) campaign, October 5-11, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home,” works to educate everyone about using these batteries safely. The campaign stresses how important it is to BUY, CHARGE, and RECYCLE safely when it comes to lithium-ion batteries.
In honor of Fire Prevention Week, HCFMO is hosting our 2025 Coloring Contest themed, ”Charge into Fire Safety!” A winner will be chosen from each coloring contest division to win the GRAND PRIZE of a HCFMO mini parade of apparatuses and a HCFMO goodie bag. We can’t wait to see all your creativity!
