Operational Permits

Effective
Jan 1, 2020

An operational permit allows the applicant to conduct an operation or a business for which a permit is required. This allows Harris County to work closely with its community partners to safeguard the county from the risks associated with high hazard occupancies. The fire code official is authorized to issue operational permits for the operations set forth in Sections 105.6.1 through 105.6.50.
